HOME & GARDEN DIVISION

1. Entries close June 5th , and articles to be exhibited must be in place by

Wednesday, June 11th at 2:00 p.m. Articles can also be brought in Tuesday

night, June 10th from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Plant & Flower articles must be in place

before 12:00 noon, Thursday, June 12th. Items exhibited must remain on display

until the close of the Fair on Sunday, June 15th. The Home & Garden Division

will close at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon in order to prepare

for pickup by exhibitors. All items are to be picked up after 4:00 p.m.

No exhibits will be accepted after the above mentioned hours. No Refunds.

No substitutions

2. Fees: $1.00 per entry (taxes included) Note: In 2008 entry fees will

double after deadline date. NO MORE THAN THREE ENTRIES PER

CLASS.

3. An exhibitor may receive no more than two prizes in any one class.

4. 12 articles must be entered before a free week pass can be given to an

exhibitor. One week pass each additional 12 entries. Passes will be given upon

receipt of articles on Wednesday.

5. Articles soiled, defaced by wear or previously shown are not eligible for

competition

6. Entries must be made in proper section and class in order to compete. Study

prize list carefully and see you have the right numbers on your entry forms.

7. All exhibitors must be responsible for their own exhibits. The Association

will not assume responsibility for removal, packing and shipping.

8. All articles exhibited will be at the sole risk of the exhibitor.

9. No prizes awarded to any exhibitor for which there is no class.

10. Any article already shown is not eligible for the competition.

Open to Exhibitors under 18 years. Parents are urged to allow children to do the

work and preparation of the exhibits without assistance. Please encourage them

in every way, but remember that every bit of work you do for them defeats the

objectives of the fair. It is preferred to have baking placed in a Ziploc or plastic

bag. All baking must be homemade.

School Exhibit. Each school may have up to six entries per grade

CARROT PINEAPPLE MUFFINS

1 cup white sugar

2/3 Crisco oil

2 large eggs beaten

1 1/2 cups flour

2 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. soda

1tsp. cinnamon

1/2 tsp salt

1tsp. vanilla

1 cup finely grated carrot

1cup crushed pineapple drained.

In bowl mix sugar, oil and beaten eggs. In another bowl combine flour baking

powder, soda,cinnamon,and salt. Mix well. Add dry ingredients to the sugar and

oil and stir to moisten.Add the carrots, pineapple and vanilla. Fill greased

muffin tins and bake at 350 F.- 20 minutes.
